A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You’ll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm’s client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees. As part of our team, you’ll help with researching background information related to legal issues and prepare legal documents. You’ll focus on drafting contracts or legal agreements, retaining files of prepared legal documents, and coordinating requests between internal and external counsel.

This role is a skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced attorney who will advise on a wide array of complex matters related to the development, deployment, use, and management of various traditional and emerging technology products and applications worldwide throughout the PwC network, including matters related to the metaverse, artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, blockchain, digital assets (e.g., cryptocurrencies and NFTs), augmented reality, and the like.

Juris Doctorate

5 year(s) in a premier law firm or sophisticated in-house legal department.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Providing legal advice to senior leadership, project teams, working groups, and technologists on legal matters related to the development, deployment, use and management of traditional and emerging technology products and applications, including the metaverse, artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, blockchain, digital assets (e.g., cryptocurrencies and NFTs), augmented reality, and the like;
  • Identifying and addressing complex legal, regulatory, and business issues related to technology involving significant risk and requiring the application of seasoned judgment;
  • Collaborating with and participating on cross-functional teams throughout the PwC network, and efficiently using and managing outside counsel to obtain optimal, cost-effective outcomes;
  • Developing sophisticated written guidance to develop and support firm policies related to the use of traditional and emerging technologies;
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to emerging technologies, such as licensing agreements, development agreements, and technology transfer agreements;
  • Providing legal assistance and business counseling to PwC firms in jurisdictions worldwide, applying effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to emerging technologies and providing recommendations based on findings;
  • Staying up to date by identifying and studying regulatory developments related to emerging technologies and providing proactive legal advice;
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects of strategic importance on a time-sensitive basis; and,
  • Working with diverse business cultures around the world to build trust solve problems.
