Job description

We are looking to hire an advanced GIS Developer to support to the Program Manager for the Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS application).

The candidate must be able to take direction from the Program Manager to both create and manage the creation of GIS maps, map attributes, and associated mapping reports in support of HMMS. This will include the ability to use and the direct the use of ArcGIS in the performance of these duties. The candidate must be able to use data submitted in Excel spreadsheets, databases, or other similar systems to both create GIS maps as well as populate associated field in HMMS as directed by the Program Manager.

The candidate must be able to receive requests from field users and provide expert advice and support regarding all GIS mapping to/from HMMS.

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Richmond, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• GIS: 10 years (Preferred)
• troubleshooting geospatial apps: 10 years (Preferred)
• GIS analysis and mapping: 10 years (Preferred)
• data quality assurance methods: 10 years (Preferred)
