The Beauport Hotel is seeking candidates for the position of Gift Shop Attendant in our very own Beauport Boutique. This position will be responsible for the prompt and courteous service to our guests in the Gift Shop, while handling transactions, proper cash handling, and monitoring the Boutique for any product needs.

• Greet and welcome all guests in a professional and hospitable manner
• Interact with guests in a respectful, cheerful, and polite manner and effectively service the guest’s needs
• Settle customer charges, and ensure proper payment is secured
• Professionally handle guest complaints, solve problems, apologize/emphasize during guest complaints, follow up
• Answer questions for guests both at the Gift Shop and in the Public Space
• Know and practice all safety and emergency procedures, including what to do in an emergency situation
• Comply with hotels policy and procedures regarding attendance and attire
• Many job duties overlap other positions and employees must be ready and willing to step into any role as needed in order to meet the guests’ needs
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and condition
• Adherence to all CDC Guidelines as it pertains to Retail and Hotel Operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant experience with an industry Property Management System.
• Working knowledge of Retail Operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with maximum efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to exercise sound logic and judgement in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.
• Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work will primarily take place in front of house, Boutique areas, public spaces incl. lobby, and front desk areas.
• Group and solo work.
