Position Highlights:

  • Position: GI Technician
  • Location: Highland Park, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time – 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Days with rotation to weekends & on call hours
  • Required Travel: To other sites as needed

What you will need:

  • License: N/A
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Certification: BLS, completion of an accredited Medical Assistance, Certified Nursing Assistance or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MA, C.N.A. or PCT experience preferred
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of Physiology, Anatomy and Medical Terminology, basic computer experience, able to take vitals and perform CPR

What you will do:

  • Room patients, take vital sings
  • Procedure room set up and equipment care and maintenance
  • Assist with specimen collection
  • Assist physicians during procedures
  • Disinfection of instruments
  • Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN
