Lift Off Distribution is the local Red Bull Energy Drink distributor for Maryland, Washington DC, and northern and eastern Virginia. General Sales Manager is primarily responsible for cultivating strong customer relationships and establishing, coordinating, and selling local program execution. The General Sales Manager role is spent mostly in the market to motivate and drive the front-line sales management team toward achieving all sales and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Sales

• Manage the front-line District Management team to achieve sales targets and increase product distribution in the market.
• Develop and direct the sales development planning and execution.
• Drive superior trade execution and product quality by conducting formal in-store audits focused upon achieving excellent market standards.
• Ensure maximization of Company assets and return on investment to include physical assets and human capital.
• Create and conduct internal and external sales presentations to communicate upcoming promotions, sales, and product impactors.

Personnel

• Coach the District Managers to maximize the management and training skills directed outward to the entire sales team.
• Manage personnel within labor and budget. Anticipate and staff for seasonal usage of District Managers, Assistant District Managers and Account Managers
• Ensure proper communication of Sales Department goals, objectives, and needs to the IT, Finance, and Operations departments.

Relationships

• Provides direct supervision to a team of District Sales Managers.
• Offers indirect guidance to a team of Account Sales Managers.
• Externally must develop and maintain an open line of communication with Red Bull employees.
• Internally is responsible for cross-departmental collaboration between Sales, Operations, HR, and IT.

Requirements for the Position Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DSD/consumer good environment.
• Requires personnel management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a range of internal and external customers.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Current Driver's License and solid driving history.
