General Manager

SUMMARY: The General Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the store, compliance of Company standards and maintaining a positive company image. The GM manages all personnel, loss prevention, and maximizes profitability through effective oversight of areas of operation. This position oversees the inventory, maintenance and upkeep of the store, equipment, and facilities along with all administrative and human-resource functions of the business, including recruiting new employees, assistant managers, and monitors employee performance and training.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, College or University Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment, including Profit and Loss responsibility
  • Basic personal computer literacy
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 80% of shift time
  • Proven history of leading an organization or team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be skilled in time management.
  • Must be self-directed and highly organized.
  • Must master all knowledge and skills of every position in the Restaurant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitors all restaurant operations and conditions to ensure the quality of product and Fan service. Monitoring includes job performance, food & labor costs, budgets, sales, labor payroll, operation of restaurant equipment, food & beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation; food and beverage service; vendor invoices and the food ordering system; communication/manager log entries; and cash transactions, comps, voids, and amounts of cash in drawers,
  • Sources, interviews, and hires candidates, trains in their positions, delegates, provides direction to, evaluates, counsels, disciplines, and terminates as needed.
  • Oversees all daily financial responsibilities (cash handling, daily deposits, etc.) as required.
  • Reviews and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation and ensure expenses stay within budget limitations. Generates financial reports and document reporting information concerning the performance of the restaurant.
  • Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
  • Oversees cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facility to ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Works effectively with management team and Staff
  • Operates a computer and all associated hardware (MS Office, internet, LMS...) or systems.
  • Assists in other duties as needed and directed and/or per Supervisors request.
