Position Summary

The General Clerk III performs duties in assisting in a variety of administrative matters. These matters include maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically), verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, compiling information, and handling and adjusting complaints. Tasks require clerical familiarity with the office unit.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Select the appropriate method(s) from a wide variety of procedures
  • Make simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals
  • Plan for individuals requiring emergency travel
  • Provide reports and statistical data for all passenger activities in the format prescribed in CDRL ITD-01
  • Prepare port call requests
  • Maintain a copy of justification on each motor vehicle utilized for official use and notify users when it’s due to expire excluding LSEV
  • Utilize subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence
  • Edit and perform quality assurance and quality control checks during input of data from source documents
  • Select from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures
  • Assist in a variety of administrative matters, maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically), verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, compiling information, and handling and adjusting complaints.
  • Respond to questions and requests for information
  • Assist Project Manager with all administrative requirements as assigned
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
  • Noise level can range from minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Possess a Valid Drivers’ License.

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.20 per hour
