Job Title: Fundraising and PR Coordinator

Reports To: Senior Management / Clinic Director

Persons Supervised: None

Responsibilities:

Increase public awareness and direct funding for the Alternative Clinic and associated not for profit entity (Association for Traditional Studies) by managing local and online presence, networking with the community and supporting this great organization's mission and growth.

The Alternative Clinic

• Design and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to identify donors, increase awareness, create interest and action for the Clinic's mission and wellness services through increased digital and social media presence , creation and execution of a minimum of 6 annual newsletters.
• Identify local advertising and promotional opportunities and media vehicles and build favorable relationships with these outlets and platforms etc.
• Create and implement advertising and marketing strategies and liaison with any outsourced team.
• Identify community members, businesses and foundations to create relationships for support, fundraising opportunities and community good-will
• Identify and network with donor prospects to increase charitable contributions
• Be familiar with day to day clinic operations and build professional yet friendly relationships with clientele

Asia House

• Build and execute appropriate targeted marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness, create interest, and action for event rentals at Asia House
• Responding to queries, offering tours of facility and answering questions.
• Increase the number of wellness related classes and events hosted by Asia House through marketing and identifying those of talent to teach single or recurring events

Association for Traditional Studies

• Develop and execute appropriate strategies to reach into the Chinese medicine professional community (students and licensed practitioners of TCM) to elevate brand awareness and increase domestic enrollment in online and in-person acupuncture and herbal medicine focused classes
• Edit and post videos on youtube, participate and manage online forums to raise awareness and ensure a consistently professional online presence

Job brief

The not for profit organization Association for Traditional Studies (DBA) The Alternative Clinic in Asheville is seeking a Fundraising and PR coordinator to lead customer relations, marketing, brand awareness and community outreach.

Responsibilities include developing the annual strategic and tactical plan designed to achieve annual revenue growth goals and raise awareness of our NFP mission. Must be able to manage different facets of business, allocating resources to different projects as needed and setting short-term and long-term department goals.

Hours and Location: Hybrid on-site and remote working - Expected 2 days per week in the clinic for an 8 hour shift, remainder of time remotely, 30-40 hours per week

Requirements and skills

• Work experience in a senior position in Marketing
• Experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
• Experience planning and running successful events
• Experience utilizing youtube and facebook advertisement and forums
• Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Adwords
• Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals
• Analytical yet creative and detail oriented
• Solid personality, good work ethic, healthy mind and able body
• Familiarity with Macintosh computer operating systems
• BSc or MSc in Marketing or relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
