Alaskan Leaf is seeking a friendly and energetic budtender with experience in customer service and retail sales. The position starts at $15/hour + Tips.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone looking to break into the industry full-time! We have one (1) full-time position available for a combination of morning shifts (7:30am - 3:30pm) and midday retail shifts (11:00am - 7:30pm). There will be opportunities for paid time off, bonuses, and raises with performance and tenure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have obtained a Marijuana Handlers Permit
• Must have obtained a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler Card
• Must have excellent attendance and professionalism
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle cash registers in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and random drug screenings (for illicit drugs under Alaska law)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, and a team player
• Must accept the risk that comes with working in the marijuana industry while marijuana is illegal at the federal level
• This position requires the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, kneeling, and reaching

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow procedures with a high level of accuracy; this job demands attention to detail
• Provide excellent customer service
• Inform and educate customers on products we carry
• Maintain knowledge of relevant state laws regarding marijuana in Alaska
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Operate POS system as instructed
• Observe signs of intoxication
• Daily maintenance and cleaning, including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, shoveling, and trash pick-up/removal.
