As part of the Infrastructure Engineering team at Arta, you will play a critical role in building a core pillar of the mission, ensuring that our key processes within our various trading, research and operations systems are supported by the necessary controls and safeguards.

This role can be located either in Mountain View/Chicago or Singapore.

What you will do

You will collaborate with our Engineering, Product, Operations and Compliance teams to:

• Design and implement controls around core business processes such as:

  • Reconciliation of daily trading activities

  • Validation of our investment portfolios’ allocations and transactions

  • KYC/AML: transaction monitoring, watchlist screening

• Build robust workflows/tools (e.g. dashboards) for systematic monitoring and escalation of key operational risks

• Work with various stakeholders to develop our framework for measuring and managing operational risk factors around Alternative Investments

• Strategize and forecast measurement and monitoring roadmap based on future business needs

Who you are

• 2+ years of relevant experience in software development

• You must have full-stack coding experience with Python or C++

• You must have experience with GCP or AWS

• Bonus: Knowledge of fintech/financial services

• Bonus: Knowledge of fraud and Anti-Money Laundering environment

• Bonus: Experience working on mission-critical systems, such as our Research/Trading infrastructures

• Bonus: Experience with Linux, containerization systems, such as Kubernetes and Docker and a wide variety of storage systems (Databases, Spanner)

• Bonus: Experience with security concepts and configuration (permissions, service accounts, etc)

• You must be authorized to work in the United States

• You are based in the Bay area (preferred) or in Chicago (where the hiring manager sits)

• You are expected to work from our Mountain View HQ office or Chicago's WeWork office

• This role will not be applicable for remote locations

Arta's Compensation Philosophy

We determine your level based on factors including your interview performance, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our offers are based on salary bands that are updated periodically using market benchmarks and consider geographic location as well (for example, higher cost regions like San Francisco or New York). If you are presented with an offer, we will review the base salary, benefits, number of options, notional option value and strike price. We would like to know if you accept our offer within 7 days.

Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.
