Infectious Diseases Physicians, Inc is a ten physician clinical practice in Annandale, VA (two blocks from Fairfax Hospital). We are a collegial and collaborative organization with a goal of providing exceptional and well-coordinated medical care for patients with complex infections. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, compassionate medical care to individuals with infectious diseases.

The Front Office Coordinator oversees the administrative duties of the front office. They are responsible for moving the patients through the intake and checkout process. Front Office Coordinators must ensure effective workflow, from documenting messages from patients/families, pharmacies, and outside clinicians in our electronic medical records. This position requires collecting insurance information, demographics, and registering / updating patient information. Additional duties require attention to incoming phone calls, collecting co-pays, and prioritizing messages to clinical staff. Front Office Coordinators must interact smoothly with back-office personnel to assist in the delivery of efficient and accurate communication and clinical care.

As an experienced Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting and handling the needs of customers, visitors and business partners. We’re looking for a proactive and friendly individual who can handle multitasking. You will be providing customer support over the phone and in person, and should have excellent communication skills. As a receptionist, you must act as a liaison between patients (and families), staff, and clinicians while completing administrative tasks. We expect you to be highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable. Since you will represent our company, we need someone with excellent etiquette skills. Often times, you may act as our company’s first impression.

This position is Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, however we stagger morning arrival and end of day signing out in order to appropriately have staff coverage before and after patients leave. Due to our patient population, we are open for half days on Saturday and Sunday. This position requires working every third weekend for four hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday. When you work the weekend, you receive a "compensation day" (day off) on Monday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
