Attention all pet lovers!

Pet resort in Paradise Valley seeking active, hard-working, kind Front Desk Receptionist to join our customer service team. Shifts are ten hours (7am to 6pm with an hour lunch break) three to four days a week (including Saturday).

**Special consideration will be given to applicants that complete all three application questions and are available to work Saturdays.

Starting wage is $16/hour with an opportunity for a raise to $17/hour at 90 days based on performance.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Answer phones
• Make appointments for daycare, boarding, & grooming
• Process paperwork for all guests
• Handle money and payment processing
• Give tours to potential clients, presenting contracts
• Open doors for clients/guests
• Keep lobby clean and welcoming
• Clean up after pets when necessary

So much more than just a desk job!

Additional responsibilities include:

• Greet dogs of all shapes and sizes
• Handle dogs (of all sizes), cats and other small animals
• Escort pets (who could be very excited, nervous or scared) to their rooms on arrival and back to the lobby upon departure

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. (ex. large bag of dog food, small dogs, large cat in carrier, etc.)
• Grip tightly with both hands and withstand resistance of 100+ pounds. (ex. escort excited, pulling dogs to their rooms.)
• Walk at a quick pace at least 5 miles a day (spread out over a 10 hour shift).
• Move from a sitting position to a standing position or vice versa quickly and regularly.
• Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and read information on a computer screen and paper; To clip or unclip a leash from a collar or harness; To click or buckle a collar and/or harness on an excitable, jumping dog; etc.
• Hear and speak to customers and co-workers in a loud environment (ex. many barking dogs, multiple blow dryers in bathing room).
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, as well as reach out to grab with both hands.
