We are seeking to hire a dependable and value minded individual for an innovative HVAC manufacturer. Must work well in a fast-paced team environment with a goal to provide seamless delivery of UMP products and outstanding customer service.

Job Description

UMP manufactures commercial HVAC equipment for multiple markets. The freight coordinator is responsible for coordinating the completion of customer products through the production line and working with the customer for timely delivery. The candidate must have a customer focused personality, strong scheduling ability and computer literacy skills. This position also requires phone etiquette, clear written communication and cross-functional collaboration with sales, inventory control, receiving, production planning and accounting. It will involve sitting, walking to each load location for BOL signatures/document transfers, swift decision making, problem solving and some lifting.

Responsibilities include:

· Ensuring Customers have an excellent experience

· Scheduling and coordinating with customers for job site delivery of finished product

· Maintain freight data, schedule and reports

· Print unit serial and stock stickers for the production line

· Confirm product availability before shipment

· Request quotes from LTL/FTL carriers for competitive pricing

· Coordinate and consolidate incoming and outgoing shipments

· Recording and updating trackable information

· Continuous improvement of processes.

Skills required:

· Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

· Above average Microsoft Office Program knowledge and experience

· Google application experience a plus

· Previous production planning, transport, logistics, accounting or supply chain experience

· Customer Service Experience

· Thorough verbal and writing communication

· Planning/scheduling and detail-oriented

· Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment

· Lean manufacturing experience
