Overview of the Position:
We are currently looking for a Live- In Recovery Residence Manager for our Women’s Recovery Residence located in Bluffton, SC. This position will work directly with women in early recovery, providing structure and support to women seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder.

Primary Tasks:
  • Maintains a consistent, visible presence in the recovery residence, including being present in the residence at night.
  • Prepare new bedrooms for all new tenants entering into the house ensuring clean linens, empty drawers/closets, etc.
  • Greets new tenants and discusses the house rules. introduces new tenants to other household guests.
  • Effectively manages the day to day operations of the house. Oversees daily operations of the recovery residence and maintains organized records.
  • Communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to all tenants and staff.
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, in charge of leading weekly “House Meetings,” and conducting inspections.
  • Ability to effectually address emergencies/crisis situations as they arise.
  • Supervise and assist in the coordination of a therapeutic client milieu while supporting tenants to develop recovery plans and coach tenants on skills needed to live in recovery.
  • Collaborates with a cohesive/knowledgeable team while receiving regular non-clinical supervision.
  • Monitors tenant’s rooms for cleanliness.
  • Verifies that tenants have any items that they need including, but not limited to hygiene products, additional linens, etc. As well as, maintaining inventory of all household supplies.
  • Ensures that all tenants are properly maintaining communal areas (Living quarters, kitchen space, etc.)
  • Ensures that tenants are following any and all house rules (curfews, etc)
  • Monitors proper use and functioning of all household appliances and hardware.
  • Observes and reports any unusual behaviors or possible areas of disagreements and/or concerns between tenants as well as any unwonted activities that may pose a safety or nuisance concern for the tenants or neighbors.
  • Aid in monitoring the property, assisting in protection against damages and/or theft.
  • As a full-time, live-in recovery professional you will have the responsibility of managing and coordinating all activities for residence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Job Type: FULL TIME

  • Ability to relocate to (BAER Ave.)

  • High School Diploma, GED, or willingness to obtain GED

  • Must be able to live in a shared living situation with other women. Requires maintaining a visible presence in the Recovery Residence, including being present in the residence at night.

  • Ability to maintain organized records, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to interact appropriately and professionally with women who are working on their recovery.

  • Must have minor house maintenance/repair skills

  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of community resources or be willing to develop relationships with community partners within the first 30 days.

  • Preferred: Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor (CRSS), or willingness to pursue
