The Transmission Technician will perform Transmission Repairs as well as maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild transmissions
- Able to learn new transmission technologies
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Maintain an organized and neat bay.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
- Road test vehicles when needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A level qualification, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Transmission Repair
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
