Job Description:

The Lounge Manager - Food & Beverage, is a Department Head role with Thompson Denver. We are seeking a highly visible individual that will play an integral role in an energetic and upscale cocktail lounge atmosphere! This position is to be responsible for providing strong and empathetic leadership and managing the day-to-day operations of Reynard Social. This position is also ultimately responsible for the quality of service provided, engaging with the community, and continuing to grow our lounge business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports and Manages the operation while working closely with the Food & Beverage Director, the Director of Service & Culture and other hotel departments.
  • Responsible for short and long term strategic planning of the operation for this outlet, including creative activations
  • Direct and oversee recruitment and development of colleagues; hire, train, empower, coach and counsel
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
  • Full understanding of colleague engagement.
  • Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the asset, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage the department's annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts and objectives to meet/exceed management expectations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional work environment
  • Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions.
  • Ability to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free standing entity.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage.

The budgeted range for this position is $65,000-70,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule.
  • A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
    Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point of sale systems.
  • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized.
  • Candidates should possess proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent comprehension required to read and implement policies and procedures; writing schedules and reading forecast and SOPs.
  • Must have knowledge of food safety and chemicals/agents for training purposes.
  • Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beer.
  • Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of restaurant service.
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant / Bar Manager preferred.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service.
  • The F&B Manager is an integral part of the hotel’s overall Food and Beverage team.
  • 2 years of previous F&B Management preferred.
  • TIPS certified is a plus.
