As a Food Pantry Assistant, you will work in an office based setting located in Mt. Holly, Burlington County NJ.

Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours; Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm; One-hour unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

• Primary/Front line individual for the Oaks Mt. Holly Food Pantry including storage and distribution of food;
• Ensure that physical placement meet Oaks safety standards.
• Maintain food pantry database;
• Communicate with Oaks consumers and staff by providing quality customer service;
• Provide support and work with food pantry volunteers;
• Meet and greet donors dropping off donations;
• Process in-kind donations (food, clothing, household items, etc.) including washing and cleaning of items;
• Support the Development Dept. Campaign events and activities;
• Support as needed at the Berlin and future pantries;
• Opening and closing of the food pantry;
• Support the coordinator on pantry inventory

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required plus 1-2 years community relations or administrative experience;

• Experience with hunger-relief, anti-poverty or mental health program a plus; Experience with donors and/or volunteers a plus;

• Ability to work collaboratively; Superior customer service skills;

• Valid driver s license required;

• Ability to lift 25+ pounds
