Job Description:

We are seeking AEs who specialize in the analysis and design of algorithms, sensors, and actuators that improve the stability and performance characteristics of flying vehicles. The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited college or university in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an emphasis on aeromechanics, flight dynamics, modeling and simulation, and control. We will consider ME or MEng with experience. (We are not interested in candidates with experience solely in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).) FEA is the use of calculations, models, and simulations to forecast and comprehend how an object may react under various physical conditions. Engineers utilize FEA to locate vulnerabilities in their prototype designs.

Additionally, the candidate should have a broad and comprehensive knowledge of aircraft flight mechanics, simulation, and control, preferably with a background in rotorcraft (helicopter)/VTOL (vehicle take-off and landing) aircraft. They should understand numerical analysis and software development, with demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation. Knowledge of one or more scientific or engineering programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Fortran, C, or C++ is essential.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate, and have exceptional communication skills. They should possess strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
