Repair Technician

Reports To: The Repair Technician will report to the Director of Operations.

Job Overview: The repair technician will visit sites to determine what repairs need to be completed, and perform repair work on customers’ equipment. Diagnostics, Repairs, Maintenance, Assembly, Disassembly, Relocation, Custom Cabling. Paperwork; time sheets, notes, pictures.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Inspect drives, motors, or belts, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions; troubleshooting down to component level

• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hand tools, or power tools

• Perform routine maintenance. Maintenance includes: Removing front casing, cleaning/vacuuming internals. Cleaning/vacuuming surrounding area. Wiping down entire machine with provided cleaning agents. Applying lubricant and/or grease in relevant areas or doing other preventive maintenance actions

• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, exploded diagrams, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary

• Repair machines, equipment, using tools such as drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• This job requires candidates to use their personal vehicle. On top of the hourly pay rate, we reimburse at $0.25 per mile for fuel and maintenance
• High school or equivalent
• Possess and maintain a current Driver’s License
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools
• Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
• Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
