Job Description

Bay Cast, Inc., is the complete global solutions provider of heavy-sectioned finished steel castings, large-form precision machining services, and industry-benchmark base, floor and surface plates.

Bay Cast, Inc. currently has an opening for a Controller. Under the limited supervision of the President, the Controller is responsible for managing and directing all accounting operations and functions. Collects, arranges and evaluates data, observing trend in accounting and making recommendations to management based on these observations.

Essential Functions:

· On a timely basis, documents, analyzes, and reports the financial performance and health of the Corporation in accordance with corporate financial policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles and Reviewed financial statement procedures, and recommends appropriate actions.

· Maintains Corporate accounting files.

· Identifies, analyzes and recommends corporate wide financial policies and procedures.

· Ensures corporate compliance with all governmental regulations related to financial activities including the 401(k) plans.

· Ensures letter of credit requirements are kept updated.

· Keeps informed as to applicable trends, regulations and financial techniques and motivates other personnel to help solve finance related problems.

· Selects, trains and develops a performance-oriented staff.

· Responsible for performing Bay Cast Companies cash flow requirements, consisting of Management line-of-credit usage and application of terms. Follows up on collections and has final determination with exception of the President, as to the level of weekly payments.

· Identifies needed and desirable external financial organizations, and develops and coordinates appropriate working relationships with each (banks, lease companies, brokers, etc.)

· Knowledgeable and compliant with the Company’s quality system standards and operating procedures.

· Recommends and manages non-benefit insurance programs.

Other Functions or Responsibilities:

· Prepares Corporate Minutes of the Board of Director’s meetings.

· Maintains petty cash fund, codes documents to the appropriate general ledger account, cost center and recipient code.

· Prepares expense report vouchers and enters (Accounts Payable).

· Responsible for processing the corporate daily banking functions.

· Responsible for and processes governmental returns.

· Responsible for receiving and depositing checks received.

· Potential growth into E2 Systems software.

Essential Qualifications:

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting system and industry aligned job shop accounts receivable system preferable.

· Experience and skilled with all common software including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc.

· Understanding of accounting procedures and controls, legal concept and business practices and techniques equivalent to those normally associated with the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field or six years of experience in the specific field is preferred.

· Experienced and knowledgeable with payroll processing, payroll tax depositing, filing of monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and forms.

· Strong interpersonal and management skills necessary to organize, distribute work load, coordinate work of the Accounting Department.

· Ability to work using personal computers and the ability to adapt to the applicable software.

· Must be able to lead and work in a teamwork environment.

· Research skills necessary to keep abreast of the changes occurring in the accounting field and have the ability to incorporate the necessary changes within the department.

· Organizational skills to work on several projects simultaneously in order to maintain uninterrupted accounting operations.

· Ability to operate office equipment, including, copier, check signer machine, printers, etc.

Work Environment:

· Normal office environment with little or no discomfort due to dust, noise, temperature, etc.

· Occasional exposure to manufacturing process with slightly higher noise levels.

Reporting Relationships:

· Reports to the President of Bay Cast, Inc. and Bay Cast Technologies, Inc.

· Supervisory responsibilities may include:

o Payroll/Cost Coordinator/System Support

o Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator

o Accounting Clerk

Job Type: Full-time

Physical setting:

· Physically working at the corporate office required.

Schedule:

· Bachelor's (Preferred)

Pay: $68,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
