Financial Analyst

Simon Group Holdings (SGH) is a private equity firm and family office that was established in 1985 with the founding of the Atlas Oil Company. The organization has diverse business interests, including energy solutions, logistics and transportation, technology incubation, fuel supply, real estate, aerospace and defense, oil field services, private equity, and insurance solutions.

We are looking for a college graduate (within the last 3 years), with a degree in Finance and/or Business to join our team and learn the business from the ground floor. We are looking for team members that want a career, not a job. If that s you, this opportunity may be perfect for you!

As a Financial Analyst, you will be a part of and periodically travel with the Financial Team of a billion-dollar private equity company.

Your duties may include:

• Analytical, reporting, and project support directly utilized by the CEO
• Gathering company and performance data across multiple sources and databases
• Monitor company operations through ongoing analysis and KPI performance reviews
• Assist with the production of data analysis and other internal presentations
• Analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting

This is a developmental position and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn the business systematically and grow… but you will need to bring your A game every day!

Skills that an ideal candidate must bring:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Working knowledge of financial statements and spreadsheets; preference for candidates with modeling experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preference given to those who are pursuing an MBA or related degree

Skills you may not have but will learn from this opportunity:

• Intimate knowledge of the financial operations of a PE company with a very diverse portfolio
• Ability to create unique financial analyses and KPI dashboards in varied environments
• Project management
• Due diligence, M&A activity, and investment evaluation
• Tracking & measuring project or investment performance
