The Division of Finance is hiring a new IT Security Officer to ensure our IT applications are up-to-date and secure, and manage user access. If you have a background in IT security and the ability lead teams and give presentations to large audiences, apply today!

Principal Duties
As the Finance Security Officer, you will:

• Provide subject matter expert input on security measures and controls that must be incorporated as security-in-design for risk mitigation during application onboarding, delivery, and enhancement; migration to cloud services; solution design and mitigation development.
• Perform and/or lead risk profile assessments on new and existing IT applications/assets, security architecture and low-level application security design.
• Work with Technology Services and supporting vendors to ensure the critical asset recovery plans are up to date and adequate scenarios for BCP/disaster recovery are well established, planned, and tested.
• Verify and validate security via scheduling and coordination of penetration tests/re-tests, including collaborating with development teams to ensure remediation of risks identified.
• Conduct periodic reviews applied controls and security measures.
• Define consistent secure software development lifecycle practices for all technology projects throughout the planning and delivery cycles that assure that application security risks are mitigated.
• Provide input to the Assistant Director supervising Division of Finance Technology & Systems to formally capture any risk associated to application security.
• Participation in both internal and external audits and assessments in relation to application security, including management of findings.
• Help the organization support current security functions/responsibilities and to evolve its application security functions and services.
• Prepare and conduct security training and awareness campaigns to division staff to ensure everyone in the organization understands the division's security posture and follows the same standards.
• Ensure that inventory of applications is up to date and that timely reviews of security measures are completed, and audit trails are preserved.

• Experience in IT security.
• Experience supporting / using web-based systems.
• Experience in technical writing.
• Experience providing customer support and responding to user requests and issues.
• Experience in technical analysis.
• Experience in Microsoft documents including Word and Excel.
• The ability to speak in front of audiences.
• The ability to participate on and lead teams.
