Job Title: Finance Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute squadron financial planning program requirements, to include collecting communicating and updating budget and financial information within government accounting systems.
  • Maintain accurate and complete day-to-day financial ledger for squadron budget tracking and reporting; scope includes classification and status of financial transactions for an estimated $5 million dollar annual budget as well as additional end of year funds made available to the squadron.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret the effects of transactions upon the financial resources of the 801st RED HORSE Training Squadron (801 RHTS).
  • Coordinate with the 800th Rapid Engineer Deployable, Heavy Operational Repair Squadron, Engineer (RED HORSE) Group and the 801 RHTS account holders, ledgers, accounting technicians, voucher examiners, payroll clerks, and other supporting personnel in the budgeting process
  • Develop, maintain, and execute an adequate integrated financial planning and reporting process that captures both long-range plans and the annual budget as a segment of those plans for budget execution
  • Process purchase requests and other funding documents within the systems
  • Validate available funding for approved 801 RHTS TDY’s
  • Attend staff meetings as required
  • Provide support for End of FY closeout actions
  • Coordinate with 325 LRS to arrange transportation for 801 RHTS training exercise students to and from Panama City airport for all scheduled training courses.
  • Serve as liaison between 801 RHTS student teams and cadre during pre-arrival and departure and update the 801 RHTS Reporting Instructions as required.
  • Serve as the functional point of contact for all day-to-day budget and financial concerns.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2 years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) automated budgeting systems and procedures. (Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), FMSuite, and Commander’s Resource Integration System (CRIS), or General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) are acceptable systems)
  • 2 years of experience using computer systems and operating systems including all MS Office applications.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively through briefings, technical writing, conferences as well as electronic transmissions.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain all required periodic training and certifications.
  • US Citizen

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
