Description:AME - CLS: This position is for a Field Service Technician (FST) located in the Romania in support of the HIMARS program. This is an international unaccompanied extended duty assignment in which the candidate will advise and assist with the maintenance, repair, and operation of the HIMARS FMTV (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles including HIMARS, RSV and Wrecker), their associated trailers and material handling equipment systems to include the proper utilization of system, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, in accordance with established procedures. In addition, responsibilities will include contractor maintenance support to the Romanian military personnel in the assembly, installation, testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance from the Field Level through the Sustainment Level. Candidate must be able to obtain an interim Secret Clearance prior to start. Must obtain a passport within the first 30 days of employment. Because of the need to obtain a visa immediately, a condition of employment is the ability to produce certified proof of the highest level of education completed. Candidate may also be required to take a post-offer, pre-employment physical to determine ability to deploy to the Romania.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be able to obtain an interim Secret Clearance prior to start
  • Must obtain a passport within the first 60 days of employment
  • Must be willing to deploy
-Must be capable of passing a deployable physical examination (including - ability to lift 35 pounds) for deployments to a combat or hazardous duty location
  • Experience troubleshooting the M270A1 or HIMARS launcher
  • Must possess a detailed understanding of the MLRS M270A1 or HIMARS system to include: Fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of MLRS M270A1/HIMARS electrical, hydraulic/mechanical systems experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities
  • Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the customer
Desired Skills:
  • Prior international assignment experience
  • Prior military experience E-4 or above
  • Prior military instructor experience
  • Experience with the Army supply system
  • The ideal candidate would be a prior service 94P with demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $47,800 - $91,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $54,900 - $103,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
