Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, NM, is a U. S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) laboratory. It is one of the world’s most innovative multi-disciplinary research institutions, engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security to ensure the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile.

Kalvio seeks qualified individuals who are interested in working in partnership with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, in performing field work such as walk-downs, and documenting the current configuration of offices and labs including the measurement of walls, partitions and electrical outlets. Employee will identify attributes from walk-downs and communicate and incorporate changes into an existing AutoCAD drawing database.

Job Qualifications:

o Associate degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field with 0 to 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

o Recent graduates and students in related field of study (AutoCAD, Drafting, engineering, architecture, or mathematics) will be considered, and on-the-job training will be provided.

o It is expected that all client on-site training requirements be met on schedule.

o Other training and requirements will be identified if and when appropriate.

o Ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) “Q” level security clearance. This will include a background investigation and drug testing by Kalvio and the Federal Government.

o Relevant professional certifications may be required as determined by supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Required responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Coordinating with Engineers and AutoCAD Technicians to ensure efficient completion of assigned projects.

o Familiarity with AutoCAD (and/or other related systems)

o Reading architectural/construction drawings.

o Communicating effectively to the client, project manager, engineers, architects and other personnel verbally and in writing.

o Assisting with the development of written documents and presentations, including proofreading and editing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
