Essential Functions of Field Supervisor

· Must be able to, successfully, exceed company and customer expectations on multiple jobsite and/or projects.

· Responsible for the coordination and delivery of exterior hollow metal frames, hollow metal doors, and overseeing the installation.

· Understanding of commercial door hardware.

· Responsible for the coordination, delivery, and installation of exterior unit doors. (unit entry doors, patio doors, MEP doors, and fire riser doors)

· Responsible for coordination of multiple trim pack deliveries and installation through the duration of a project. (interior doors and trim)

· Responsible for scheduling the delivery and installation of residential door hardware and second trim items(final baseboard and shoe molding).

· Responsible for scheduling the delivery and overseeing the installation of specialty items like postal boxes, commercial bath accessories and partitions, wire closet shelving, residential bath accessories, and fire extinguishers.

· Coordinates & monitors performance of subcontractors, evaluates performance, and initiates corrective action as required.

· Performs safety and cleanup audits and reviews with subs with a goal of continuous improvement to keep the jobsite organized and clean.

· Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment, local travel is required, use heavy machinery, and lift up to 80 pounds.

· Maintain positive company image (appropriate language, dress, and behavior).

· Must be on their feet all day and able to handle confined space, heights, loud noises, cold weather, and hot weather.

Field Supervisor Responsibilities

· Support our scope of work as the liaison between our office, our team of installers, the jobsite Project Managers, site Superintendent, and/ or other management throughout all phases of the life cycle of a project.

· Supervise the work of laborers, give them guidance, and ensure their efficiency.

· Create, update, and maintain a variety of project controls that track the status of individual projects or tasks, changes to projects or task orders, RFI, shop drawings and submittal matters involving quality controls, safety, close-out and other aspects of the project(s).

· Must have a clear understanding of the submittal process, and ensure that correct materials are installed in designated areas.

· Familiarize oneself with the jobsite Project Managers and other jobsite trades to properly schedule trim deliveries.

· Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules utilizing contemporary scheduling software. Update the office with all provided "look-ahead" schedules to ensure materials are ordered and arrive to site on time.

· Support the office with project needs by placing order requisitions for project specific material needs.

· Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.

· Develop an understanding of how to maintain all contract duration terms and requirements that govern the project to prevent rework and delays.

· Participate in managing activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion.

· Participate in weekly office staff meetings and weekly jobsite meetings.

Requirements:

· Needs one (1) to three (3) years of on-the-job and in-the-field experience in the construction industry. Multi-Family construction is a plus. (management experience preferred). * Also willing to train the correct person for this position.

· Needs Commercial and residential door and hardware knowledge.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Proficient with email and telephone skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
