What you’ll be working on:

• Work safely per OSHA Standards, protect fellow employees, communicate with subcontractors onsite to insure safety. OSHA 40 training provided if needed.

• Open minded with the humble ability to listen to customers, respect customers, and the ability to practice patience and wait to get back to them about their concerns after you collaborate and confirm the best solution with the director of manufacturing, director of plant operations, field service manager, product managers, & engineering team.
• Competitive internal drive to not leave a task, site, customer, or team member, until you’ve given your best. This job requires field service team members to want to correct customer product issues more than the customer wants to fix customer product issues. RKMC Field service team members will be asking the customer to stay longer for our team to close out issues and close down the site.
• Attention to detail when performing work, Attention to detail when cleaning up after RK Field Service Team Daily
• Diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair. Then relay reports and photos.
• Perform general building, electrical, and mechanical tasks per written instructions
• Assist electricians with material management, prefabrication, and any other tasks they need assistance with.
• Examine issues, reflect on issues, and relay all pertinent issues verbally and written, & relay resolution with the customer

What is expected of a Field Service Technician:

• 1 year in customer service experience
• 1-3 years experience in manufacturing or construction, electrical experience preferred
• Interest in manufacturing and electrical industry
• Competent skills in providing daily reports, photos, summarizing conversations, and container numbers.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing building, electrical, & mechanical problems.
• Desire to train peers, learn from experience production team and leads.
• Communication
• Schedule flexibility – ability to travel with short notice and willingness to stay until customers problems are solved

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
• RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Multiple Locations, 75% travel, 2 Aurora RKMC manufacturing facilities when not travelling
