Responsibilities

The Federal/Public Sector Account Manage will be responsible for building relationships with Federal (CDC, VA, DOD, FBoP, Indian Health Services) and Public Health Accounts (Departments of Health, City, County, State, also FQHCs, Prisons, etc.)

The Federal/Public Sector Account Manager is accountable for actively differentiating and selling the product, establishing its value proposition, facilitating P&T committee reviews, and executing against contracts. The Account Manager is responsible for gaining formulary access for the product and is accountable for the subsequent pull through as well. The Federal/Public Sector Account Manager reports to the Director of National Accounts.

  • Develop and manage designated Federal/Public accounts with the goal of maximizing sales
  • Identify and build business relationships with targeted Health Care providers
  • Develop strategic account plans that address customer relationships, sales targets, facilitating growth within key Federal /Public Entities.
  • Employ our client's trade strategy with targeted Federal customers by understanding each agency’s unique formulary and P&T process
  • Deliver meaningful dialog to determine underlying patient needs and determine how vaccines could address such needs

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/vaccine account strategy and demonstrated account management, regional, national accounts
  • Prior experience in vaccines or buy and bill experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of Managed Care coverage and product reimbursement
  • Experience working with Federal and Public Health Accounts
  • Experience in a startup environment, preferably launching new vaccines
  • Ability to collaborate among a range of key areas (marketing, field team, medical science liaisons)
  • Ability to travel >50%

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 and 25% bonus. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
