The mission of the Food Bank of South Jersey is to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to people in need, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives. FBSJ has distributed over 150 million pounds of food to children and families in need and cannot afford to buy food. The Food Bank of South Jersey Development and Communications VISTA will support the Food Bank of South Jersey’s work as a co-backbone of the Camden Food Security Collective work, which is an initiative aimed at increasing food security and equity in the city of Camden.
Member Duties : As the Food Bank of South Jersey Development and Communications VISTA, you will 1) Support Backbone Administration; 2) Support Backbone Fundraising and FBSJ’s Fund Development; 3) Lead Social Media Engagement to Create Community. You will have the opportunity to create engaging and impactful content for stakeholders and current and future funders. Pre-service drug screen and background check required.
