Job: Farmers Market Lead, start date ASAP (part-time, approx. 16h/weekend) in Seattle, WA and full time possible (40H) from mid-May thru mid-October.

Role & Expectations: Represent The French Guys brand, mission & values at designated Farmers markets. Increase product sales & brand awareness through engaging and educating customers on products. Handle set up and breakdown of farmers market booths & supplies. Set-up booth that’s orderly, clean & inviting. Ensure all product is transported & stored in accordance with Health Dept requirements. Weekly coordinate/communicate products and cash needs with The French Guys owner. Like to work as a team of 2 or 3 per market in a fast-paced environment. Able to keep extremely organized, timely records of all products in accordance with current systems. Provide content from markets for The French Guys social media platform. Love food and appreciate the complex challenges of our food system. Be dependable, honest, friendly, and fun--like to engage and talk to people. Should plan to spend approximately 8 hours per market day, including: pre-market pick-up in Tukwila, driving the van, booth installation, sales, reporting, tidy up the booth and drive back... Able to lift & move heavy (up to 60 lbs.) & awkward equipment (tent, tables, boxes...). Help hiring the team for the busy summer season. Coordinate the team between markets during the summer season.
Requirements: Clean driving license and capable of driving The French Guys Sprinter or Van and transporting products & market materials on-site. WA State Food handlers permit. Able to speak English. French is a plus but not require. Knowledge of the food industry and prevention of food waste. Can carry heavy stuff (up to 70lbs). Team management. Farmers Market experience is a huge plus. Contract Length and Terms: Available to work Saturday (6:30AM/2:30PM at U-District Farmers Market), Sunday (6:30AM/2:30PM at Ballard Farmers Market). Wages: $25/h + Tips. (Depends on days but usually the total salary is between $35 to $42/hour). FREE bread and pastries. At the French Guys Bakery, we have a tip sharing policy with all (production and salespeople). Starting mid-May, full time possible from Wednesday thru Sunday on the markets (afternoon/evening markets during the week, and morning markets during the weekend).
