Spokane Produce is seeking a FULL TIME Farm Worker for our Cheney, WA farm. The successful candidate must be familiar with farming operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all daily operational activities associated with farming, maintenance, and care of animals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Field/pasture production, planting, harvesting, irrigation, weed control and maintaining records of such.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery.
- General upkeep and maintenance of farm buildings and personal landscape.
- Care of animals (cattle, chickens, horses, and family dogs).
- May direct the work of 2-3 employees, and up to 7 seasonally.
- Must communicate with family owners on a regular basis.
- Will work at least one weekend day OR rotating weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years old.
Ability to work in inclement outdoor weather conditions.
Possess a general farm/animal care knowledge based on experience.
We offer a competitive wage of $17.00 to $19.00 depending upon experience, and benefits package with medical/dental/vision/life insurance/disability insurance first of the month after 60 days, paid time off and 401k with employer match after one year.
Schedule is Friday-Tuesday 7:00am-3:30pm.
Successful candidate will be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and 7-year county criminal background check.
