Gemma Services has an IBHS program operating out of our new Mt. Airy location. The Family Peer Specialist will provide peer support to the caregivers of children/teens/young adults within the IBHS program in the homes, schools, and communities. They will support the families with community linkages, and access to services, and help families to use their voice to advocate for their child/teen/young adult. They will empower the family to understand their role as a member of the treatment team and help to identify and build natural resources.
This position requires some evening and weekend hours as needed to meet child/family needs. This position will be focused on clients residing in agency-assigned schools in Northeast Philadelphia and specific assigned high schools.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Family Peer Support Specialist Certification preferred (can be achieved within 6 months of hire). Must have personal experience as a family member of a child/teen with behavioral health challenges.
