The Advanced Practice Provider at the Family Birth Center, located at our Community Campus is responsible for 24 hour availability of neonatal resuscitation. Additional responsibilities include care for babies in the extra care nursery, follow up bilirubin and weight checks, NRP education, and responding to all baby emergencies as they arise.
Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. NRP certification required. Neonatal experience as an APP. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

12 hour shifts, combination days and nights, 7 days per week
