One of our amazing affiliates, The Children's Home of Reading (CHOR), needs a Part-Time Family Interventionist Therapist for their our In-Home Lehigh Valley Program. The Therapist will provide treatment to families with male and female children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral & sexual issues. Responsibilities include family therapy and some individual counseling in the families’ home.

• Position requires some evening hours, but schedule is extremely flexible.
• Therapist will work from home when not in the community and will be provided with laptop, printer, and other home office supplies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effective use of verbal and non-verbal communication skills with adolescents/families.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with adolescents/families.
• Strong clinical skills and therapeutic methods to aid youth and families through crisis to stabilization.
• A strong familiarity with various community resources.
• Ability to assess, interpret and effectively document data specifically related to the care of adolescents and family dynamics.
• Therapeutic crisis prevention and intervention; First Aid and CPR; infectious disease control policies and procedures; emergency fire procedures/evacuation; Emergency medical procedures; Child Protective Services Law; Child abuse recognition and staff responsibility included in training.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Masters degree (preferred) in social work, psychology, counseling or other related field.
• One (1) to three (3) years experience working with youth in a Human Service field.
• At least three (3) written references that demonstrate past educational and/or employment experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid PA driver’s license (of ability to obtain such license), and good driving record, with proof of auto insurance coverage.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.
