Job Summary:
Available Shifts: 1st/2nd/3rd Shifts
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in the following fields: Carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, painting, drywall, basic carpentry, etc.
Performs basic preventive maintenance and repair of building plumbing, mechanical, electrical, control systems, including refrigeration, and A/C units. Activities may include changing filters, cleaning heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, changing light bulbs, painting, assisting in the performance of preventive maintenance activities, assembly and disassembly of systems furniture, and removal and installation of signs. Performs repairs on walls, carpets, and widows. Maintains compliance with inventory and tracking policies and procedures, maintains compliance with work order system, indicating status of all repair and maintenance work. Ensures adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Essential Functions
  • Professional painting, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
  • Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
  • Change of all filters for HVAC as required
  • Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
  • On call maintenance for all facilities, 24/7 when needed
  • Maintain exterior property, including snow removal
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, with an emphasis in plumbing and carpentry maintenance or any combination.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Professional Industrial Painter Preferred

Requirement
  • Physical ability to push/lift 75 pounds
  • Professional painter experience
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints
  • Must be able to pass a Federal Aviation Administration background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
