Heritage Ministries at Heritage Village is in growth mode and currently seeking a Facility Technician to join our team! As a Facility Technician you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations to help ensure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of any buildings on the grounds of Heritage Ministries such as power, water and electrical systems.
  • May be responsible to respond to emergencies and must take appropriate action in the case of maintenance emergencies.
  • Responsible for the general appearance of buildings and grounds. May have to work outside around plants such as poison ivy, sumac and oak.
  • Repairs and maintains equipment when needed. Assists with regular preventative maintenance on all equipment..
  • Assists in ordering supplies, maintaining supply cupboards and monitoring condition of equipment for necessary repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED/TASC required.
  • Some experience in maintenance is required such as a basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, construction, and machine repair.
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies.
  • Ability to lift over 60 pounds, stand, walk, sit, bend, and twist.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
