We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Anderson-Negele team in our Spartanburg, SC location. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work cross-functionally. This position will perform general maintenance and repair of facility equipment; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and building systems as required to sustain operations.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain facility equipment in good working condition. Minimize downtime by conducting diagnostics and repairs with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Advanced troubleshooting & problem solving of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Repair minor HVAC problems control operations and basic theory and preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance schedules on time for production and facility equipment.
  • Support installation of new equipment as well as the reconfiguration of existing equipment.
  • Fully engaged and supportive of continuous improvement initiatives which is baseline for our Fortive Business System (FBS) including 5S and Kaizen.
  • Conduct all activities and perform all job duties with following strict adherence to established safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Support a proactive preventative maintenance program to include accurate and timely completion of all documentation and paperwork

On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:

  • Minimum of (2) years’ experience working with or general knowledge of basic 3 phase electrical systems, electronics, gearing and gearboxes, PLC’s, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and plumbing.
  • Minimum of (2) years facilities maintenance experience or relevant work experience.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent trade school. Comparable related experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as basic math skills
  • Ability to act with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
