Annual Hiring Range: $67,992 - $71,508

Sandhills Center is a Local Management Entity-Managed Care Organization (LME-MCO) serving

people in eleven counties in central North Carolina. We have a robust network of providers who offer

treatment and support for mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities and substance use

disorders.

Duties:

• Assists the External Care Management Director and Manager with the oversite, education of

provider-based care management entities.

• Works closely with care management entities to help ensure the provider success with the

delivery of Tailored Care Management.

• The position follows the plans, policies, and procedures essential to Sandhills Center’s

compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations, and the parameters of the state’s

move towards the 1915 b/c waiver standards and specifically for provider based Tailored Care

Management (TCM).

• The person in this position assists with ongoing development of provider based tailored care

management within the scope of the External Care Management Unit.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work,

Psychology, Counseling or related field and three years of supervised clinical behavioral healthcare

work experience as required by the appropriate North Carolina Licensing Board.

Must hold full licensure issued by a North Carolina Professional Board, as a LCSW, LCMHC, or LPA.

Must reside in North Carolina.

Preferred Experience: Experience in a managed care setting and working with the MH/SU adult

and IDD populations. Preference for experience with medical care management, Certified Care

Management (CCM)and experience working in managed care settings.
