The Charles in Historic Old Wethersfield is seeking BOH team members. Our goal is to build a team of individuals driven by the decision to perform at their highest potential, while working together to create a culinary experience that our guests will never forget. Individuals that are excited by the idea of creating a brand and establishing The Charles as a premier restaurant in Connecticut. High character and strong communication skills as well as enthusiasm and attitude are just as important as experience and knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum 5 years of Back of House experience, preferably in high-volume, fast paced, upscale dining restaurant

* Remain poised and in control during busy services

* Must be a role model that other employees wish to emulate
* Possesses and shares their unique culinary knowledge
* Maintain station inventory and preparations

* Candidates must be able to allocate their time wisely and never sacrifice quality

* Excellent work ethic and high interest is necessary to our success
* Consistently uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Constantly monitor hospitality areas to ensure they are kept clean and safe
* Embrace change and deliver top results no matter what the obstacles
* Foster and maintain open communication between FOH and BOH, as well as all Executive Management
* Polite and professional, polished and maintains proper hygiene
* Organized and proficient at multi-tasking
* Reliable, flexible, and a team player
* Commitment to striving for perfection and genuine passion for hospitality

* Able to provide positive attitude and atmosphere for other employees

*This is a full-time position. Candidates must be willing to have flexible schedules and must be willing and able to work, holidays, nights and weekends.

* Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds and work on their feet for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Restaurant experience: 5 years (Required)
