Job description
Hacker Dojo is a tech-based non-profit community organization. The Executive Director in this role will continue 13+ years of successful programming with entrepreneurs both from under-resourced and funded Venture backed communities in the heart of Silicon Valley. Candidates for this role will be enthusiastic about technology and learning.
The Executive Director will drive organizational impact and innovation by building effective partnerships with key stakeholders; supporting a diversified fundraising effort; leading a 5 person team and mentoring a dedicated staff, and partnering with a vibrant Board of Directors.
Hacker Dojo’s next leader will be an individual with passion, commitment to, and urgency for the techfounder mission; a relationship builder, a seasoned manager who is enthusiastic to fundraise, a strategic thinker willing to roll up their sleeves, and a compelling advocate and representative of diversity as it relates to the Hacker Dojo mission.
This exceptional opportunity is for an experienced, energetic, and ambitious leader to continue growing this community-based non-profit, on behalf of the founders and entrepreneurs it serves.
If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of founders and strongly believe in the power of community and mentorship, this is the role for you. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a combination of work and life experiences and representative of the communities we serve.

We are not only a co-working space, we are also a co-learning community. You must be able to coach or make tough decisions on members that do not embody this culture. One of your measures of success is based on exit interviews of members and their perspective on the openness of the Hacker Dojo culture.
Drive
People who want to learn and take the step to ask for help are driven. Your drive to support individuals in accessing their aspirations will be paramount. Having internal aspirations of your own will also be important. We want you to grow, to innovate, to succeed not just for the organization but for yourself.
