The Executive Director will help establish and update our procedures and criteria and work with families & students to navigate and oversee the admissions process. You will also plan and oversee promotional activities and schedule or conduct tours and information sessions.

To be a successful Executive Director, you should be committed to promoting your school and attracting wonderful families. You should be engaging, highly organized, and analytical, with exceptional communication skills.

Executive Director Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
  • Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
  • Complete ongoing training and courses to remain current on daycare standards and procedures.
  • Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center's policies.
  • Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure the center remains profitable.
  • Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.
  • Assisting in the admissions decision-making as student applications are evaluated, accepted, or denied.
  • Providing students, parents, and guardians with information regarding admissions requirements and processes, financial responsibilities, enrollment issues, or other procedures.
  • Communicating changes, statistics, and other information to the school leadership,

Executive Director Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Early childhood education experience is required.
  • Licensure is required.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic.
  • Understanding statistics, admissions requirements and procedures, school funding,
  • and application processes.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
