Agnus Dei Foundation is a nonprofit in South Salt Lake, UT. Our mission is to impact the culture of life by being a champion for adoption as a positive solution to an unplanned pregnancy. Agnus Dei Foundation (ADF) operates at the intersection of two industries: pregnancy resources and open adoption. We seek to provide a living environment at Lamb of God Maternity Homes which offers women hope through room, board, faith, security, counseling, education, mentorship, and life skills. We are a registered California and Utah religious nonprofit in operation since May 2012.

We seek a passionate and experienced professional who will lead Agnus Dei Foundation (ADF) into the future by providing strong financial management, team development, and program oversight. The Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Lamb of God Maternity Homes in California and Utah. The ED will provide vision and leadership, cultivating relationships in the community and fostering a culture of life through the gift of adoption. The ED's key duties will include organization management, strategic planning, fundraising and community engagement, marketing and community outreach, board relations, and financial performance and viability. The ED reports to the ADF board of directors and will oversee an operating budget of $500,000, with an annual fundraising goal of $600,000, and supervises six staff.

Job Responsibilities:

● Organization Management

○ Accountable for and leading staff, ensuring all staff are aligned to achieve the foundation mission

○ Maintains accountability for the operational and fiscal integrity of ADF within policies set by the board of directors

○ Assesses organizational capacity to implement strategies and identify gaps in systems and staffing

○ Leads, coaches, develops and retains the ADF team, including the Business Manager, Program Director, and House Managers

○ Maintains management records in accordance with human resource best practices in coordination with the Business Manager

○ Signs all legal and financial notes, agreements and other instruments made and entered into on behalf of ADF

● Strategic Planning

○ Serves as a principal resource to the board of directors and gives strong direction and policy formation and interpretation

○ Partners with the board of directors and management positions to craft organizational goals and develop strategies to ensure that they are achieved

○ Ensures coordination and alignment of all ADF activities to strategic direction in the areas of community impact, resource development, and staff alignment

  • Fundraising & Community Engagement

○ Identifies, cultivates, and solicits prospective donors and key community partners to ensure that ADF can successfully fulfill its mission into the future

○ Leverages personal and professional contacts into fundraising opportunities ○ Promotes a culture of fundraising both at the staff and board level

○ Supervises the development and submissions of grant proposals and renewals ○ Provides monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly reports as required by granting sources ○ Determines the number and type of events and the resources needed for fundraising activities

● Marketing and Community Outreach

○ Represents ADF as a champion for adoption and advocate for birth mothers to the public, community partners, churches, media sources, and local and state entities ○ Identifies potential collaborative resources to assist ADF in achieving its mission ○ Seeks partnerships in the community that allow ADF to improve services for birth moms

○ Develops an effective marketing and promotion strategy

○ Conducts outreach initiatives and directs marketing campaigns

○ Oversees content production to ensure messaging consistency

○ Establishes relationships with feeder programs including adoption agencies, adoption attorneys, pregnancy resource centers, and sidewalk advocates

● Board Relations

○ Cultivates a strong working and transparent relationship with the board ○ Seeks and builds board involvement with strategic direction for ongoing operations of Lamb of God Maternity Homes in Utah and California

○ Supports the operations and administration of the board by providing information, advice, and counsel to the Chairman of the Board

○ Supports all activities associated with the board of directors, including staffing for board meetings, meeting schedules, locations, and development of agenda and meeting materials.

○ Works in conjunction with the Business Manager to provide support and input to board members to ensure proper governance, including developing, maintaining, and updating the following:

■ Board meeting minutes

■ Audit and 990 Form

■ Financial policies and procedures

■ Bylaws

■ Strategic Plan

■ Fundraising Plan

■ Employee Handbook

■ Annual Budget

■ Annual Report

● Financial Performance and Viability

○ Works with the Business Manager to manage organizational spending, monitor budget compliance, and mitigate risks

○ Researches and recommends action regarding the legal/financial consequences of organization activities with a focus on the preservation of exempt status and legal compliance

○ Works with the board to develop a capital structure to ensure the long-term viability of ADF and a model that is duplicable for Lamb of God Maternity Homes

Qualifications:

● Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or its equivalent in experience

● 5-10 years of successful leadership experience in organizations of comparable size and mission

● Commitment to results; 'can-do" mindset with an emphasis on accountability ● Strong motivational and staff leadership abilities

● Ability to command the confidence and respect of stakeholders

● Sense of humor, integrity, impeccable work ethic

● Familiarity with commonly used technologies for marketing design, communications, productivity, and operations management.

● Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures

● Operates well in ambiguity and has an action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to reaching goals

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multi-disciplinary skills

● Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people: board, donors, volunteers, staff, community partners, and residents

● Pledges to sign the ADF statement of faith

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
