The Position:

As an Event Server, at The Barn at Gibbet Hill you will be responsible for providing high-quality service to guests at events such as weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. The Event Server will be responsible for serving food and drinks in a timely and efficient manner, and that all tables and event spaces are clean and well-maintained throughout the event. Our team loves the part-time, flexible schedule in a fun and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including setting up tables and chairs, and arranging table settings and decorations.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure that all food preparation and presentation is safe and hygienic.
• Clear plates and glasses from tables and maintain a clean and well-organized space throughout the event.

Requirements:

• Flexible scheduling – minimum requirement of 3 shifts a month.
• Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests – smile and have fun!
• Experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
• Ability to multitask and take direction
• Work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to drive a 14’ to 16’ box trucks a plus!
