TIP & TLC Program Special Needs Teachers, includes TIP(P) & Vocational

Summer Program: July 10, 2023 - August 17, 2023

3 days (Tuesday - Thursday), 8:00AM - 1:00PM, $35 per hour (plus 2 hours of prep per week)


Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts licensure in severe disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and diagnosing learning disabilities
  • Demonstrated experience as an inclusion special education teacher or as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program.
  • Such other alternatives as the Superintendent of Schools may deem acceptable and appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead teacher providing direct instruction to special needs students in accordance with their IEPs.
  • Work in concert with other special needs staff, specialists, and administrative personnel to develop and implement viable extended year programming for special education students.
  • Complete progress reports, educational plan information, and other data as required by local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Work with teaching assistants to facilitate programming for the students.
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed, providing updates and advice to the Team, including parents and guardians. Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
  • Such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and the Extended School Year Coordinator.

Salary: In accordance with FEA contract, $35 per hour
