Overview:
The Construction and Maintenance Equipment Operator Technician position will be located at the Evanston, WY facility. This position works in and around petroleum products and crude oil facilities executing various construction and maintenance activities. 75% travel, call-outs, and overtime will be required on an as-needed basis. Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) operates more than 10,000 miles of underground pipeline in 26 states.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment to excavate pipelines.
  • Read and analyze blueprints.
  • Assist in spotting lines during excavation, uncovering lines and conduits.
  • Thorough knowledge of equipment to perform general maintenance.
  • Provide support for damage prevention and right of way relations.
  • Perform emergency break and leak activities.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Perform work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner in accordance with all Environmental, Safety and Regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Class A CDL
  • Previous pipeline excavating experience
