YU & Associates, Inc. an awarding winning engineering firm located in Elmwood Park, NJ is seeking a Supervising Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will manage aspects of important projects including proposal development, budget, project execution, scheduling, and client communications.

• Supervise the workload of the team; develop, implement, and coordinate environmental programs, projects, and activities; providing leadership, direction, and support to staff; overseeing staff functions and objectives.
• Manage environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Ensure that critical environmental programs and tasks are maintained or completed, and that tasks and duties assigned to staff are achieved within schedule and budget or are progressing as scheduled.
• Coordinate with subcontractors including analytical laboratories, drilling contractor, disposal facilities for project schedule and budget.
• Supervise the environmental sampling program, including air, water, soil, and wastes.
• Lead the remediation process from implementation to site closure.
• Complies with all environmental laws and regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Certifications including CEP, LSRP, PMP, etc. are not required but are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in AEC industry, delivering engineering consulting services with knowledge of applicable laws and regulations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Demonstrate subject matter proficiency in subsurface investigations, remedial design, data analysis, interpretations, and reporting.
• Minimum three (3) years of project management experience.
• Knowledgeable in applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
