Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for the Charlotte, NC office. This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team to help manage a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project and project management experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
+ Managing scope, schedule, and budget for small to mid-sized investigation/remediation projects
+ Building strong client relationships
+ Client and regulatory correspondence
+ Technical report writing and review
+ Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
+ Preparing cost estimates and proposals
+ Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
+ Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
+ Responsible for quality control of tasks
+ Mentor project Jr. staff
+ Will require some regional travel for field visits
+ Supervise up to 10 staff
+ This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect to be out in the field up to 30% of the time mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s in Geology, Soil Science, Environmental Science or closely related field and 2 years of direct Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
+ PG or PE license
+ 8 years of experience in environmental consulting
+ 4 years of project management experience
+ Experience working for clients in the oil and gas market sector
+ Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies
+ 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
