Convergint Federal d.b.a. SigNet Technologies, Inc. (SigNet) is a systems integration company that is focused on the physical security with locations throughout the U.S.. Convergint Federal is a leader in the design, integration, installation, maintenance and operation of technically-complex integrated physical security management systems. We have the ability to support the entire life-cycle of these programs and projects—from security analyses, engineering and design, through installation, operation and maintenance—using in-house personnel and resources is our biggest discriminator.
The Technician, under regular supervision, performs basic tasks and projects with lesser complexity. Relies on established guidelines and/or detailed direction for installation, decommissioning and troubleshooting problems of security equipment and circuits. The work is in finished office spaces as well as sometimes in a construction environment. The successful candidate will need to be able to use basic hand tools, drills and diagnostic equipment. This position is ideal for someone that wants to learn the security business from an industry leader. Travel is sometimes require if you are not assigned to work as an embedded technician.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant job experience. Relevant job experience is described as:
- Job experience in similar construction, electrical, and similar industry.
- Job experience with similar essential duties Physical Requirements:
- Field Tech - Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; lift 50 lbs.; Valid driver’s license required; works in all weather conditions
Must be able to pass a background investigation and be able to obtain and maintain a security technician license.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
