ENTRY LEVEL LINE CHEF, PART TIME

ABOUT US: We are a high-volume cafe located in the heart of the up-and-coming town of Beacon, NY. We focus on using organic and local ingredients that highlight the bounties of the Hudson Valley and how seasonal food can be both beautiful, good for you, and elevated.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES: Since opening in 2020, we have had non-stop growth in business. We are in the midst of opening a sister restaurant over this upcoming Winter and it will open a variety of positions at varying levels, allowing for our team to grow.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory management including daily and weekly inventory, rotating and proper labeling and dating of stocked goods
• Ensure all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Plate dishes both in an elevated and beautiful way
• Maintain a steady, quick, and consistent high-quality service
• Maintain a safe kitchen environment
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and station at all times

SKILLS

• Understand and adhere to health and safety regulations
• Basic math
• Ability to work under pressure
• Time management skills
• Strong passion for food
• Excellent communication
• Ability to receive feedback and learn
• Ability to lift 30 lbs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• ServSafe is a plus
• Certification from a culinary school a plus

JOB TYPE: Part Time (20-30 hours, or 3 shifts per week)

STARTING PAY: $19.00 per hour

SHIFT BREAKDOWN: 7am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 11am-7pm
