About us

Smethport Area School District is located in the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds, we are a full-service, public school district in McKean County. Together, the two schools that comprise our district provide a safe, empowering learning environment for preschool through twelfth-grade students.

We are searching for an energetic and personable individual with a background in English to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with students, teaching both written and spoken English, and employing innovative techniques to engage students. This position requires a high level of commitment and is ideal for someone who loves working with people and has a history of sharing knowledge with others.

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans.
• Facilitate classroom activities.
• Stay on top of educational trends in order to improve teaching methods.
• Use technology in the classroom.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and school officials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,499.00 - $72,292.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
